Carola Solís _ Peruvian social communicator, anthropologist, photographer, designer_ is the creator and founder of Atelier SOLÍS. After living and travelling the world and working for several years in humanitarian labour as international staff of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Carola decided to put her photographs into clothing thus creating a concept with historical, cultural and identity significance - beyond commercial.

She launched her creations as a finalist in the fashion designers contest, Flashmode 2014. Since then, she has promoted her country through her work with PromPerú (Commission for the Promotion of Peru, Export and Tourism) making her " walking canvases" represent the Peruvian richness in the United States, Europe and countries in Latin America, among others, as well as in official events of her country, including dressing Miss Peru World 2017 in the competition held in China.

"Why do you focus on showing each area of Peru? People ask her.

"Because Peru is not just Machupicchu, nor is it just Lima," says SOLÍS, recognizing the great Peruvian cultural diversity. That is why her work is characterized by translating and portraying each area and its respective cultural, folk, architectural and anthropological - visual characteristics.

So far, she has showed the following fashion collections: "Kaleidoscopic Lima" in Washington, United States, "Timeless Arequipa" at Alpaca Moda, Arequipa, Peru and "Incontrastable Mantaro Valley" at the Taste of Peru - Washington DC Festival in 2017.

In these times of globalization, Carola's work has received recognition from the national and international press for its anthropological, historical meaning, originality and defined identity. Her creations continue to attract all kinds of public interested in her modern-avant-garde approach, where SOLÍS's slogan becomes reality: "Local Identity, Universal Soul"
